Bickford is named after our family’s five-generation cabin on Bickford Pond in Maine—a place that has stood through decades of harsh winters and crowded family summers because the original bones were built right. We’re a husband-and-wife team applying that exact standard to our clothing.

We design everything out of our shop in Burlington, Vermont. Vanessa grew up sewing and Luke’s background is in supply chain logistics, we know how to track down the right materials and construct a proper garment.

We always prioritize domestic materials first, but we will search the rest of the world to find the highest quality fabrics. About 70% of all of our gear is made using domestic materials. Once the materials are locked in, every single piece is hand-cut and sewn right here in the USA, with most being done in the Northeast.
